Fom the Author:
I’m Laura, and my journey in IT started just like many others, working basic help desk jobs, fixing access issues, and trying to keep systems running. It didn’t take long for me to realize that security was where I belonged. The constant challenge of staying one step ahead of threats fascinated me, and I dove into certifications like Security+ and CEH to build my foundation.
But it wasn’t always smooth. I failed early attempts and often felt buried under technical jargon that seemed impossible to translate into real-world understanding. That frustration shaped how I write today. When I share study advice, I make sure it’s grounded, relatable, and something you can apply without feeling lost in theory.
For me, certifications are more than just badges, they’re milestones that build confidence and open doors. I love knowing that someone read one of my guides and walked into their exam room with less fear and more focus. Writing for Cert Empire gives me the chance to connect with learners who are just starting out or aiming to climb higher in cybersecurity.
Outside of security, you’ll usually find me hiking on weekends, sipping strong coffee at small cafés, or curled up with a good thriller novel. Balance is key, and I always remind learners that you can pursue certifications without giving up the rest of your life.
