D and E tbh, since regular NAS just can't handle Veeam's immutability properly. Linux Hardened Repo covers the local side, S3 Object Lock for cloud. That combo meets the 31-day no-delete rule. Agree?
D , but only if the NAS is just SMB/NFS, since Veeam can't do backup immutability there. You'd need a Linux Hardened repo for local and enable S3 Object Lock for cloud. If it was a WORM NAS, maybe A would work but not with standard setups.

C/D? I'm not sold on A since standard NAS doesn't support true immutability with Veeam. D makes sense because Linux Hardened Repo is the only on-prem option for immutable backups, and E covers S3 Object Lock. B is tempting but doesn't address the immutability requirement. Let me know if you see it differently.
D and E imo. You need a Linux Hardened Repo because Veeam can't do real immutability on just a NAS, and S3 needs object lock (immutability) set too. Pretty sure that's the only way to cover both local/cloud retention for 31 days. Disagree?
I don’t think moving everything to Linux Hardened is needed. A and E look better since enabling immutability on the NAS (A) plus S3 (E) covers both local and cloud copies. I always thought newer NAS models could handle immutability, but maybe I’m off here. Thoughts?
Why does Veeam make immutability on NAS such a pain? Its A and E.
Hard to say, it's D, since RPO is about how much data loss is ok after an incident. It's not about downtime (that would be RTO). If anyone thinks otherwise let me know.
