A user story for a Revenue Cloud implementation states. As an Accounts ReceivableManager, I want to automatically generate invoices in draft status the same day of everymonth”. what implementation option should a revenue cloud consultant pursue first?
Yeah, this matches what I've seen on practice too. A is the only one that actually automates invoice creation on a monthly schedule without coding anything. Triggers or workflow (B/C) are for event-based stuff, not timed runs. Pretty confident here unless I'm missing a new feature.
I get why most are saying A, but for a draft invoice right after activation, wouldn’t C (workflow rule) work too? Seems like a common trap since workflows can handle status changes. Or am I missing something about monthly scheduling?
A tbh, saw something like this in a mock. Invoice Scheduler is made for automating invoice creation in Revenue Cloud, fits the draft and monthly timing requirement perfectly. Payment scheduler is about collecting payments, not making invoices.
