The Avamar license file is bound to the hardware identifier of the utility node. Replacing the utility node chassis (moving its disks into new hardware) changes that identifier, so a fresh license key must be generated and installed.

B. Rebuild on the same utility node retains the original hardware ID, so no new key is required.

C. Storage-node rebuilds do not affect licensing, which is utility-node based.

D. Storage-node hardware IDs are not used for licensing; swapping them does not invalidate the license.
