Which storage protocol is supported for a datastore when using ESXi as the hypervisor within a Nutanix cluster?

Option D. and the Nutanix official guide covers NFS integration with ESXi in detail.
Nutanix and their stubborn NFS preference with ESXi gets me every time. D imo.
D imo, always seen Nutanix present ESXi storage over NFS for datastores.
D , since Nutanix always presents datastores to ESXi over NFS, not iSCSI or SMB. Seen it in official docs too.
Why Nutanix still sticks to NFS only for ESXi datastores drives me nuts. D
Its D, NFS is how Nutanix presents storage to ESXi for the datastore. I remember a similar question from practice. iSCSI is for external block but not for presenting the standard Nutanix DSF to ESXi. If someone picked A, check the context again. Agree?
C or D? If the question asked for guest OS access vs ESXi datastore, would that change which protocol Nutanix supports?
