• Within the OSPF process view ([R1-ospf-1]), the area 0 command creates or enters the specified backbone area view.
• Inside the OSPF area view ([R1-ospf-1-area-0.0.0.0]), the network 10.0.12.1 0.0.0.0 command enables OSPF precisely on the interface possessing that IP address.
• Alternatively, OSPF can be activated directly on the interface by utilizing the ospf enable 1 area 0 command inside the GigabitEthernet interface view ([R1-GE0/0/0]).
