Why doesn’t the latest iOS release appear in Settings > General > Software Update on an iPhone?

Option A makes sense since if an iPhone is managed by MDM, admins can defer or block iOS updates. The device might not even see the update option at all. Pretty sure that's the main cause here, unless I'm missing something obvious.
Option A is the one here. When MDM manages updates, it can completely remove the update from appearing in settings, so users can't trigger it. C is tempting, but "not enough storage" usually gives a warning instead of hiding the whole update. Pretty sure about this but let me know if you've seen otherwise.
A , since MDM can totally hide software updates from users in the Settings screen. If storage was the issue (C), you'd usually see a message or prompt instead. B and D don't actually prevent the update section from appearing in my experience. Open to being corrected but pretty sure it's A for managed devices.
Maybe C. If there's not enough local storage, sometimes the update won't show as available until you free up space. I've seen iPhones skip showing an update for that reason before, but not totally sure if that's always the case.
A
A not C. C is a trap since low storage gives a warning, MDM actually hides the update.
A imo. When an MDM is managing software updates, it can actually suppress the update option entirely in Settings, so the latest release just doesn't show up at all. The others like storage or Lockdown Mode usually result in an alert or error, not a missing update section. I saw a similar question in a practice set and A was the right call there too. But open to corrections if anyone has seen a different case.
Not B here, it's A. MDM blocks the update section from even checking Apple servers in a lot of setups, seen that in a few practice runs. Storage issues (C) give a different message.
