To link a learning activity to a competency, you associate the learning item with a defined Learning Outcome, which is in turn mapped to the competency model. Oracle Learning Cloud allows Learning Outcomes to be attached to both individual courses and larger specializations. By attaching the outcome to a course, learners achieve it upon completion. Attaching it to a specialization signifies that completing the entire group of courses within the specialization is required to gain the competency. Both are valid methods to achieve the stated goal.

A. Learning Initiatives are used for mass assignments based on rules, not for mapping a specific training item to a competency outcome.

D. Communities are for social and informal learning; they are not the primary objects to which formal Learning Outcomes for competencies are attached.
