Q: 19
A server administrator is installing a new server that uses 40G0 network connectivity. The
administrator needs to find the proper cables to connect the server to the switch. Which of the
following connectors should the administrator use?

Its A
Gotta be D. Only QSFP+ out of these options actually supports 40Gb networking, the rest top out way lower (like SFP+ at 10Gb). I'd double-check the official CompTIA Server+ objectives or hardware guides if unsure, but pretty sure that's what you'll see in their practice tests and labs. Feel free to correct me if I missed something!
D, QSFP+ is the only connector here that supports true 40Gb speeds. Nice and clear question, matches practice sets I’ve seen.
Have to disagree with anyone picking A here. SFP+ is only good for up to 10Gb, so for true 40Gb network connections you need QSFP+ (D). It's easy to confuse the two since they're both small form-factor, but that's a classic exam trap. Only D supports the required bandwidth. Let me know if you see something I missed!
I get the confusion, but for actual 40Gb connectivity, only QSFP+ (D) fits. SFP+ is a common trap since it maxes at 10Gb, and GBIC/SFP won't do it either (they top out at 1 or 4Gb). Pretty sure CompTIA sticks to standard use in questions like this. Anyone see a scenario where something other than D would work here?
