A sandbox is the type of environment that GCC should use to onboard new hires as well as develop,

implement, and test new requirements. A sandbox is a copy of the production environment that

allows the user to create and test changes without affecting the live data and users. A sandbox can

have different types and sizes, depending on the purpose and scope of the changes. For example, a

developer sandbox can be used to create and test code, a partial copy sandbox can be used to test

large data sets, and a full sandbox can be used to perform performance testing and user acceptance

testing. A production environment is the live environment that contains the real data and users. A

production environment should not be used to onboard new hires or develop, implement, and test

new requirements, because it could compromise the data quality and security, and disrupt the user

experience. A Trailhead Playground is a type of environment that allows the user to learn and

practice Salesforce skills using Trailhead. A Trailhead Playground is not connected to the production

environment, and it does not have the same features and functionality as a sandbox.

The Account Source field is a picklist type of field. A picklist field is a type of field that allows the user

to select a value from a predefined list of values, which ensures data consistency and accuracy. For

example, the Account Source field could have values such as Web, Phone, Referral, and so on. A

formula field is a type of field that calculates a value based on an expression or formula, which can

reference other fields, functions, or constants. For example, a formula field could calculate the

commission amount based on the opportunity amount and the commission rate. A text area field is a

type of field that allows the user to enter up to 255 characters of free-form text, which can include

multiple lines and spaces. For example, a text area field could capture the description or notes of an

account or an opportunity.

The most benefit that GCC would get by moving to the Salesforce Platform is that it provides a

complete view of a company’s customers on one unified platform. This means that GCC can access

and manage all the data and processes related to its marketing, sales, commerce, service, and IT

departments from one place, without having to switch between different systems or platforms. This

also enables GCC to have a 360-degree view of its customers, which helps it deliver personalized and

consistent experiences across all touchpoints.

The Contact object is where the associate should add the new employee record. The Contact object

is used to store information about individuals who are associated with an account, such as name,

phone, email, title, and role. The Contact object has a lookup relationship with the Account object,

which allows the user to select an account that the contact is related to. The Accounts object is used

to store information about companies or organizations that are customers, partners, or competitors.

The Accounts object does not store information about individual employees. The Leads object is used

to store information about potential customers who have shown interest in a product or service, but

have not yet been qualified. The Leads object does not store information about existing employees.

The users are assigned different profiles and page layouts, which determine the fields they can see

and edit on the opportunity record.

The Reports tab is where the associate should go to create a new report for Accounts. The Reports

tab allows the user to create, view, edit, and run reports in Salesforce. The user can select a report

type, such as Accounts, Accounts with Contacts, or Accounts with Opportunities, and then add filters,

groupings, charts, and other features to customize the report. The Setup menu is where the user can

configure the settings and customization of Salesforce, such as creating objects, fields, workflows,

and security settings. The Accounts tab is where the user can view, create, edit, and delete account

records in Salesforce.

A roll-up summary field is a field on the parent object that calculates the sum, average, min, or max

of a field on the child records. It can be used to learn the sum of the amount for each opportunity

related to an account.

One feature of multi-tenant architecture is that resources are shared but tenants cannot claim each

other’s resources. Multi-tenant architecture means that multiple customers (tenants) share the same

hardware, software, and infrastructure resources, but their data and configurations are isolated and

secure. This allows Salesforce to deliver high performance, scalability, and availability to its

customers

The way that an end-user can access their personal settings is to click the profile icon in the header,

then click Settings. This will open the Settings page, where the user can update their personal

information, language and locale, email, display, security, and other settings. Clicking the gear icon in

the header, then clicking Setup will open the Setup page, where the user can access the org-wide

settings and features, but not their personal settings. Clicking the question mark icon in the header,

then creating a Case will open the Help Center, where the user can get help and support, but not

access their personal settings.

The thing that the associate should do to show that GCC is part of the CK portfolio when creating the

CK Account record is to add Get Cloudy Consulting to the Parent Account field. The Parent Account

field is a standard field on the Account object that allows the user to link an account to another

account that is its parent company. This way, the user can create an account hierarchy that shows the

relationships between parent accounts and their subsidiaries. The user can enter the name of the

parent account in the Parent Account field when creating or editing an account record. Viewing

account hierarchy and selecting Add Child Account or selecting New on the child accounts related list

are not the correct actions to show that GCC is part of the CK portfolio, because they are used to

create a new account that is a subsidiary of an existing account, not to link an existing account to

another existing account.
