A imo, milestone charts are made to spotlight big achievements or completed phases. Gantt and PERT go deeper into task details and dependencies but don't highlight the key wins as clearly. Pretty sure that's what the exam is looking for here.
A tbh, milestone charts are always recommended in the official study guide and all the practice exams I’ve seen. They focus on key events or deliverables, which is exactly what this question asks for. Anyone see a case where Gantt or PERT would fit better?
Don’t think Gantt (B) is best here. Gantt shows task duration and dependencies, but for spotlighting key events and accomplishments, A (milestone) is what most exam prep uses. If anyone disagrees, let me know!
