Why does NVIDIA always make the upgrade steps different from install? I feel like every similar exam question expects you to remember that you need to run the OFED uninstall script before touching anything else, just because upgrade needs to be clean. Does anyone ever actually use apt for DOCA upgrades?
I think B. But if it's a brand new DPU install and not an upgrade, D could be right instead.
Pretty clear it's B here. Upgrade process always needs you to remove the old OFED package first before anything else.
C or D for me. Usually I'd just try
apt-get upgrade doca or install it straight, since package managers handle upgrades pretty well in most Linux stuff. Not 100 percent sure, maybe missing a cleanup step but that's how I typically approach upgrades.B tbh, that's what I've always seen in the upgrade guides. Removing OFED with the uninstall script is the first thing before doing anything else with DOCA. Pretty sure it's to avoid any driver mismatch.
Its B, always need that OFED uninstall first before upgrading DOCA. No way around it for a proper upgrade.
B , always start with the OFED uninstall before upgrading DOCA. Apt install/upgrade only makes sense if you’re installing fresh.
B tbh, apt commands are tempting but you really have to remove OFED first or the upgrade can break. Seen people pick D because it looks standard, but it's a trap here.
NVIDIA never makes upgrade vs install easy, drives me nuts every time. B
Nah, I think B here. Removing old OFED with ofed_uninstall.sh is what you need for upgrades, D is more for fresh installs. That "upgrade" wording is key, seen it trip people up in practice exams.
