Q: 15
A company has been using Dynamics 365 Business Central for many years.
A new accounting manager for the company reviews the chart of accounts. The manager wants to
remove some general ledger accounts.
The Check G/L Account Usage field is selected in the General Ledger Setup.
You need to assist with the account deletions.
What is one requirement that enables deletion of a general ledger account?

I don't think it's C, that's a classic distractor. Option A is what I've seen on similar exam questions since linked posting groups block deletion every time.
A . If the G/L account is used anywhere in posting groups or posting setup, Business Central won't let you delete it, even if other conditions are met. Blocking on usage is the main thing here I think.
Option A
Its C, not A. General ledger account needs to be Balance Sheet for deletion or it won't work.
C is wrong, it's A. Used in real exam reports, can't delete if account's in any posting group or setup.
Call it A is the one. It always stops me from deleting unless the account isn't used in any posting group or setup. Not totally sure if recent updates changed anything, but hasn't for me so far.
A not C. C trips people up but type doesn't matter, it's posting group links that block deletions.
A tbh, since if it's in any posting group even with fiscal year closed you can't delete it. Pretty sure that's the blocker unless Microsoft changed it lately, correct me if I'm off.
B , C is a common mixup here but posting group usage blocks deletion even more than account type.
A is right, you can't delete a G/L account if it's linked to posting groups or setups. I've tried this in sandbox and always get errors unless all references are cleared. Anyone seen a different behavior after recent updates?
