Automatic and Direct Lake. The fallback trap is DirectQueryOnly, pretty sure that’s not it.
Option D saw this type of ask in a recent exam report, BPA is made for this exact scenario.
D , saw something similar in a practice exam. Best Practice Analyzer makes it quick without manual checks.
Isn't D the only one that flags all Summarize By violations automatically? Model View and Explorer both need way more clicks.
D imo, Best Practice Analyzer is built to batch check things like Summarize By settings on surrogate keys. It can scan the whole model in one go, way less manual work than using Model view or explorer (B or C), which you'd have to click through column by column. Easy to miss stuff there. Unless you know every surrogate key already, D saves a ton of time. Someone picking B is probably thinking about visibility, not effort.
D but if forced to only use Power BI Desktop I'd pick C.
Not C, it's D. Model explorer's tempting but it won't flag the summarize by issues at once.
D tbh. None of the Power BI Desktop options can scan and report this in one go, but BPA in Tabular Editor catches it instantly. Only thing I'd second guess is if you're not allowed to use external tools, otherwise it's D.
Nah, I think D is correct here. Best Practice Analyzer in Tabular Editor actually checks the whole model in one go, so it's much less effort than browsing fields manually. Option C looks tempting if you're only thinking inside Power BI, but it's not as efficient for this specific check. Anyone disagree?
Totally agree with D here, BPA in Tabular Editor flags all surrogate key columns with a single scan, so you don’t waste time checking each field by hand. Pretty efficient for best practice checks! If I missed a shortcut in Power BI itself let me know, but I’m pretty sure this is the quickest.
