Option C is right, VACUUM is Delta Lake’s built-in safe cleanup for unreferenced files, and it respects the transactional log so ACID compliance isn’t broken. From what I remember in similar exam questions, manual file deletion (D) should be avoided for this reason. Agree?
C tbh, VACUUM is made for this exact cleanup in Delta tables. Keeps the transaction log intact and safely removes orphaned files, so ACID properties stay protected. Clear question setup too.
Its D for me. Deleting files from OneLake file explorer seems like it would physically remove anything not needed, skipping the need for command-line steps. I think this is a quick way to free up storage if you're sure the files aren't referenced. Maybe official docs or practice tests spell out why this could be risky for ACID, but still looks workable at first glance.
