Q: 8
Cumulus Financial created a segment called Multiple Investments that contains individuals
who have invested in two or more mutual funds.
The company plans to send an email to this segment regarding a new mutual fund offering, and
wants to personalize the email content with information about each customer's current mutual fund
investments.
How should the Data Cloud consultant configure this activation?

B . You need to pick the specific segment, add Fund Name for personalization, and use the Fund Type filter so only mutual funds pull through. Just dumping all types (like D says) could mix in investments that aren't relevant. Pretty sure that's what Salesforce expects for this kind of targeted campaign, but open to other takes.
Option B
I agree with B here. You have to actually pass Fund Name as a related attribute, plus filter for only those with Fund Type set to "Mutual Fund" so the personalization works right in the email. If you skip the filter or Fund Name, you'd miss what the question is asking for. Makes sense?
B , encountered exactly similar question in my exam. Needed both Fund Name and Fund Type filter for accurate email personalization.
I went with C since the segment already targets people with multiple mutual fund investments, so just adding Fund Type as a related attribute feels enough for high-level personalization. That's how some of the official practice questions approach it, I think. Not 100% sure though, open to others' thoughts.
B tbh, since you have to pull the Fund Name and also filter by Fund Type equals "Mutual Fund" for the actual personalization. Just adding Fund Type (like in C) won't be enough detail for what the email needs. Agree?
B , that lines up with what the official guide covers for personalizing by specific fund types. Need to pull Fund Name and filter for "Mutual Fund" so the email content is spot-on. Practice sets seem to back this too, but open if anyone disagrees.
B
D tbh, sounds like just adding Fund Name and Fund Type by default should work for personalization, don't see why you need that extra filter step like in B.
Option D actually looks good to me. Including Fund Name and Fund Type by default should give all the info needed for the email personalization without having to set explicit filters in the activation. Anyone else think that works?
