Unpack the server from the shipping packaging:
Carefully remove the XE9680 server from its shipping packaging. Inspect the server for any visible
damage and verify that all components are included as per the packing list.
Install the rail assembly:
Install the rail assemblies into the rack. Follow the instructions provided in the server's installation
guide to ensure the rails are securely and correctly mounted in the rack.
Transport the server and align with the rack:
Use a server lift or appropriate equipment to transport the server to the installation site. Align the
server's inner rails with the rail assemblies in the rack to prepare for sliding the server into place.
Slide the server into the rack:
Carefully slide the server into the rack along the installed rail assemblies. Ensure it is properly seated
and locked into place as per the installation guidelines.
Connect the power and network cables:
Connect the server's power supply units (PSUs) to the appropriate power distribution units (PDUs) in
the rack. Connect the necessary network cables to the server's network ports.
Power on the server:
After ensuring all connections are secure, power on the server. Monitor the server’s boot process
and ensure it starts up correctly without any errors.
