C imo. 802.11n (HT) was specifically designed to be backward compatible with older 2.4 GHz devices (ERP and HR/DSSS). Nice clear question for anyone who’s reviewed the standards closely. Pretty sure on this, though always double check specs!
This one's a bit tricky since 802.11n (HT) is the only spec listed that intentionally maintains compatibility with both ERP and HR/DSSS, but you have to remember that's only true in the 2.4 GHz band. If the question said 5 GHz only, then HT loses HR/DSSS support entirely and the answer wouldn’t fit. So unless there’s some band limitation in play, C is right for full compatibility-but context definitely matters!
I was thinking D for VHT since it's newer, but now not so sure.
