The process of de-identification where new data elements are substituted for identifying information
is?

D . Substituting identifiers matches pseudonymization since you could undo it with the original mapping. If the process was truly irreversible, C would be right instead. Saw this twist in some practice sets.
D that's pseudonymization. Since it's just substitution and not full anonymization, pretty sure that's what IAPP wants here.
C or D? These get mixed up on practice tests. Official guide compares them, but substitution makes me think anonymization (C) unless they say it can be reversed. Anyone else seen a clear explanation in IAPP textbooks?
D
Wouldn't official IAPP resources or their practice exams help clear up the pseudonymization vs anonymization confusion here? Similar wording keeps popping up in sample questions I've seen.
C tbh, sounds like anonymization since new elements fully break the link to the original data, right? D traps you if the process is still reversible, but here it just says substitution.
Its D, pseudonymization means swapping out identifiers with substitutes. Pretty sure that's what they're after here.
