DRAG DROP You have an Azure Virtual Desktop deployment that contains a host pool named Pool1. Pool1 contains the session hosts shown in the following table.
Per-user access pricing - User1, RDS Client Access License - User2. Saw a similar scenario in some exam reports. The key is Host1 is modern AVD, while Host2 seems more like classic RDS so User2 needs CAL. Pretty sure that’s the split, but not 100% if host roles were swapped. Anyone disagree?
Just checking, does "best license" here mean minimizing cost or maximizing feature set? If User2 is connecting to a classic RDS session host (Host2), then RDS CAL fits. But if both hosts are in the same Azure Virtual Desktop deployment using pooled desktops, per-user access pricing for User1 makes sense. A change in host type would flip these picks.
