backbone → required area that allows interarea communication, stub → area that can learn interarea routes and the default route, totally stubby → area that can learn only the default route and routes within its own area, not-so-stubby → area that can serve as a redistribution point for external routes to enter the OSPF domain. Pretty sure this matching is right based on how OSPF limits LSAs. If anyone sees something off let me know.

Not-so-stubby is a trap if you mix it up with regular stub, seen this mistaken on some practice sets.
Quick check, is the question asking for the most restrictive area type for each scenario, or just any valid one? For example, if it’s specifically about allowing only default and intra-area routes, that’d shift the pick between stub and totally stubby.

I don’t think stub and NSSA should be mixed up here, easy to get tricked.
