The Azure ExpressRoute Circuit provides the private, dedicated network path to OCI. It must be

provisioned and linked to a virtual network gateway to enable the interconnect.

Always enforce least privilege access when architecting cross-cloud systems. Only required ports and

protocols should be opened, and IAM policies should be scoped tightly to prevent unauthorized access

between cloud environments.

Oracle Database@Azure integrates Azure Virtual Network for connectivity, Oracle Exadata

Infrastructure for database workloads, and OCI’s control plane for service orchestration. This enables

native integration with Azure services while using Oracle's database power.

IAM policies in OCI can be managed through the Console and CLI. These tools allow for defining,

editing, and applying policies at the tenancy or compartment level to manage access.

IAM roles in GCP define who can interact with networking and service accounts. OCI Tags and

Compartments segment and organize resources for access and cost control. These features provide

governance across multicloud environments. They support audits, billing separation, and fine-grained

policies. Cloud Run is unrelated to database onboarding.

The Service Gateway provides access to Oracle services like Object Storage over OCI’s internal network.

This avoids public internet routes and increases security for private subnets.

Oracle RAC across availability domains provides high availability within a region. This configuration

allows database failover and load distribution. It’s part of the provisioning options available to the user. It

ensures resilience against infrastructure failures. Public or NAT routing is not used for this purpose.

OCI DRG uses BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) to dynamically exchange routing information with on-

premises devices. BGP simplifies route management, provides failover, and supports scalable hybrid

cloud setups.

Site-to-Site VPN establishes a secure, encrypted tunnel between an on-premises network and OCI using

the internet. It is suitable for quick and cost-effective hybrid cloud connectivity without dedicated

infrastructure.
