How does containerization differ from virtualization in terms of resource optimization?

Option C for me, since containers still need an OS to run on, just not a full one inside each container. Maybe I’m missing something but I think VMs share the host hardware differently. Someone correct me if that’s off.
D , since containers share the host OS kernel, they use hardware more efficiently than VMs which each need their own OS. Saw something similar on a practice test. Could be missing something but pretty sure about this.
Probably B, since virtualization can run multiple apps on one OS, isn't that more efficient sometimes? But does the question mean resource use specifically, or overall flexibility? If it's about sharing the OS to save resources, then D makes sense.
