Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Cloud Guard and Identity and Access Management (IAM) are foundational security services. OCI Cloud Guard is a cloud security posture management (CSPM) service that continuously monitors an OCI tenancy for security misconfigurations and risky activities, providing automated remediation. OCI Identity and Access Management (IAM) is the core service for controlling access to all OCI resources. It manages authentication and authorization through policies, users, and groups, ensuring that only authorized entities can perform specific actions, which is a cornerstone of a strong security posture.

A. OCI FastConnect is a networking service that provides a private, dedicated connection to OCI, not a service specifically for managing security posture.
B. OCI Compute Service is an infrastructure service for provisioning and managing virtual machine instances, not a dedicated security service.
D. OCI Block Volume is a storage service that provides persistent block-level storage for compute instances, not a security management tool.

1. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Documentation, "Overview of Cloud Guard": "Oracle Cloud Guard is a cloud-native service that helps customers monitor, identify, achieve, and maintain a strong security posture on Oracle Cloud. Use the service to examine your Oracle Cloud Infrastructure resources for security weakness related to configuration, and your Oracle Cloud Infrastructure operators and users for risky activities." (Document ID: E97345-21, Section: "Overview of Cloud Guard")
